The MVH502AH is a very powerful and stable head for loads up to 4 kg.
Silicone grease dampened with the best imaginable softness in the movements and with a built-in balance spring that prevents the mounted tube/equipment from involuntarily "tipping" vertically. Vertical damping (tilt) is adjusted with a large knob on the left side, locking is done with a knob on the opposite side of the head. Horizontal damping (panning) is adjusted with a large red ring at the base of the head, while horizontal locking is done with a knob at the front, under the bridge. Comes with a long joystick that can be placed on either the right or left side of the head and is assembled without tools. The quick plate is 142 mm long and can be shifted longitudinally for balancing and is equipped with both 1/4'' and 3/8'' screws and a spring-loaded brass guide pin. On some of the binoculars on the market, it is possible to anchor with both screws (e.g. Pentax, Opticron and some Kamakura). For those who think that the little sibling MVH500AH is too small and suffers from the lack of possibility to adjust the stiffness in the panning, the MVH502AH is the natural step up. It may seem strange, however, that the MVH502AH has a lower (4 kg) maximum load than the MVH500AH (5 kg). It is due to the greater possibilities to adjust the toughness of this head and to guarantee these functions.
NATURBUTIKEN TIPS: Most people think that the 37 cm long pan bar is way too long for normal tube use. It can be mounted in the other direction and then you can also access all the controls more naturally.
