With a 6-year warranty and exciting and well-thought-out details, SIRUI is a highly interesting alternative to already established brands.
Characteristic is that forged metal is used instead of cast parts. The two-way oil-damped video head VH-15 is the largest in the range and, just like the SIRUIS stand, maintains very high quality. The control lever is flexible in both length (telescope) and angle, you can of course also choose whether you want a right or left grip. Panning is preset to provide as smooth and friction-free movement as possible but can also be locked. The tilt function is continuously adjustable with a large knob on the side and works in the range +70 / -90°. There are two spirit levels to see if the equipment is level. The VH-15 has a built-in heavy-duty counterweight spring that can withstand all binoculars on the market and then some. The spring prevents front- or rear-heavy equipment from tipping uncontrollably. Additional balancing options are offered by the quick release plate which is 125mm long and comes with both 1/4 and 3/8 inch screws, meaning owners of certain binoculars (eg Kamakura, Opticron and old Swarovski HabichtAT 80) can get two attachment points, which effectively counteracts "rotating tube". The quick plate can be put on from both sides, another advantage. Comes with a sturdy padded bag and carrying strap, good if you want to protect your equipment to the maximum during transport and storage.
