The triangular cast aluminum spindle is incredibly strong and includes a removable/replaceable center disc that requires no tools to remove. At the bottom of the center counter is a strong hook for hanging loads or the camera. Like all tripods in the Systematic series, there is no center pillar. Here, a little weight is thus saved and the stand becomes extremely torsionally rigid and strong, yet flexible and compact, with almost no protruding details that can get stuck or tangled.
