Successor to the dark green BD XD series that arrived in 2014.
Now with newly designed, slightly more elongated housing in magnesium alloy coated with a light green rubber reinforcement. The focus wheel is plastic but looks like metal. The eyecups have intermediate positions for full adjustment regardless of whether you wear glasses (screwed down cups) or not (screwed up cups). Kowa uses a proprietary optical glass with a high content of fluorite crystal that they call XD. It provides high light transmission and good color reproduction with a minimum of chromatic aberration (color bleeding). The outer lenses are treated with a hydrophobic coating (KR) which facilitates use in wet weather and cleaning. The BDII 6.5x32 XD WA Prominar is a pair of binoculars with an extremely large field of view, calm stable image and large exit pupil. This means that it is a really good spotting scope for rangers, mountain hikers, surveyors and others who need to sweep over large areas and then go into details with binoculars. But with the exciting close range of just 1.3 meters, it is also perfectly suited for butterfly and dragonfly watchers. Supplied with bag, wide comfort strap in neoprene, eyepiece and lens cover.
