Like its smaller siblings, it is strikingly light and ergonomically flexible for its performance - high magnification but still a bright and clear image with fine resolution.
The binoculars are filled with nitrogen gas and thus fully waterproof. The focusing wheel is large and runs smoothly, the close range is not the best but perfectly acceptable in the price range. Diopter is adjusted with a traditional ring on the right eyepiece and it is sluggish enough not to be accidentally shaken. The eyecups are screw type with a total of five positions and offer a full field of vision for eyeglass wearers, although the field of vision on this model is somewhat limited. The crowning glory is nanocoating, i.e. a dirt- and water-repellent coating on the outer lenses. This is completely new in this price segment and facilitates lens care and use in wet situations. Few if any models with this data and in this price range can compete with this model's specifications. But as I said, it is an extreme pair of binoculars for those who may never be able or want to use binoculars as a supplement. The binoculars are delivered with a belt bag in cordura fabric, a very wide and comfortable neoprene strap (same as for the more expensive Kowa), eyepiece protection in rubber and simple lens caps.
