The Kite SP-65 is a well-built, all-rubber binoculars with a magnesium body and "dual-drive" focusing, i.e. a knob for quick coarse adjustment and a low gear knob for fine-tuning the sharpness.
Genuine "stand ring" which is tiltable with lockable screw. Worth noting is that the foot has a design that makes it possible to "click" it directly into the Manfrotto 128 RC head, i.e. without having to use the quick-release plate that comes with the head. Then the rubber mat glued to the foot is first removed. The Kite SP-65 comes complete with a 17-50x zoom that provides a sharp and fine image and is equipped with an eyecup that can be set in several intermediate positions for full adjustment both with and without glasses. The eyepiece is threaded. The field of view is, as with many tubes in this price range, somewhat limited. The lens hood is extendable and the tube is supplied with a field-style rubber lens cap but a simpler cap for the eyepiece. The Kite SP-65 is filled with nitrogen gas and thus completely waterproof and condensation-proof.
