In the glove compartment, on the dog walk, on the round of golf. Small enough, good enough. With the AD 9x28 WP, Pentax combines the best of both worlds.
On the one hand, almost the same flexibility as on real pocket binoculars, on the other hand, a decent light opening so as not to lose too much light and sharpness in demanding situations such as dawn and dusk. In addition, it is easier to handle than true pocket binoculars, as it has the simple center link of full-sized binoculars. In terms of magnification, this is also something of a compromise, between 8x and 10x. With a lens opening of 28 mm, an exit pupil of 3.11 mm is obtained, which is decent considering the scope's format. Clearly a competitive model for all-round use and as supplementary binoculars. Diopter is set on a non-locking ring on the right eyepiece. The twist-type eyecups are adjustable in four different positions and offer a full field of vision even with glasses in the lowered position. The focus is large and easy to work with and the entire binocular body is covered with a grippy rubber with a thumb grip on the back. The binoculars are waterproof to a depth of 1 meter. Supplied with bag, simpler textile strap and an eyepiece cover.
Note the long warranty period!
