SLC stands for Slim Line Compact and has been a concept from Swarovski for three decades.
In their new bottling with fluorite-containing HD glass, they have improved ergonomics in a new binocular housing. 10x56 still does not have low weight as its main characteristic, but is a special binocular for those who want maximum brightness in twilight situations. The latest coating in the form of Swarobright (for maximum light transmission and correct color reproduction) and Swaroclean (nanocoating on the outer lenses that repels dirt and water) is of course also available here. Due to a new prism construction, they have also managed to increase the light transmission to a very good 93%. The models in the SLC series were and are very robust and durable, filled with nitrogen gas to withstand water down to a depth of four meters. The diopter adjustment is built into the focusing wheel. On the underside there is a thumb grip in the full-covering rubber coating and despite its relatively high weight, the 10x56 is very well balanced and easy to handle. The eyecups are removable/replaceable if you want, for example, so-called sun protection cups (accessories) and offer a full field of vision for glasses wearers in the down position. Individually the kankikar is adjusted +/-4 dioptres. Delivered with bag, wide comfort strap in neoprene with smart stepless length adjustment and eyepiece and field lens protection.
