In combination with the 25-60xW eyepiece (TE-11WZ in Kowa language) you get a full 40-96x magnification, with fairly little light loss.
Impressive and useful when, for example, seabird watching, reading individually marked birds in the field or monitoring bobcats at long distances. Can be combined with all eyepieces available for the TSN 770 and 880 tubes.
The following eyepieces work:
25-60xW (TE-11WZ) gives 40-96x, field of view 26-14 m/1000 m (1.5-0.82 degrees), exit pupil 2.2-0.9 mm (880)
20-60x (TE-10Z) gives 32-96x, field of view 24-12 m/1000 m (1.4-0.7 degrees), exit pupil 2.8-0.9 mm (880)
30xW (TE-17W) gives 48x, field of view 26 m/1000 m (1.5 degrees), exit pupil 1.8 mm (880)
Can of course also be combined with Kowa's various digiscoping options. Mounted easily by unscrewing a protective ring at the eyepiece mount. Thread on the extender and then the eyepiece is mounted as usual. A separate latch is on the extender, so that the eyepiece cannot accidentally detach. Delivered in a cardboard box with protective caps at both ends.
