With a six-year warranty and forged details in, for example, the spindle (where the legs join), Sirui has established itself as a serious player in the tripod market.
The R-2004 is a stronger and slightly taller base stand than the R-1004 for brighter and heavier binoculars or photo equipment. As long as you are 170-175 cm, full standing height is obtained without pulling up the center column. But of course it is possible to get full standing height even for taller people if the relatively long and solid center pillar is pulled up. The center pillar has a built-in hook for loading. Four sections and three leg locks on each leg make the tripod quite compact in transport mode and it fits in its entirety in the included bag, good to know if you need to travel with the tripod. Two of the legs are equipped with soft padding and the feet consist of Sirui's fine solution where you quietly and comfortably unscrew a hidden nail from the solid rubber paw. The leg angles can be adjusted in two positions and are controlled by an automatic stop heel. The head is Sirui's medium format video head with a slightly longer speed plate. The VH-10 is made of forged aircraft aluminum and has a balance spring that can withstand up to 2 kg of load, the head itself can withstand up to 6 kg of load. This includes: Tripod with mounted video head, VP-90 quick plate, padded protective case, shoulder strap, telescopic handle, tools, user manual, warranty card.
