The MT190X3 is an affordable base tripod in aluminum from Italian Manfrotto.
It is full-length, which means that even 190-centimeter people can benefit from this stand, even if you then have to reach for the center pillar a little. All pipe parts including the center column are in aluminium, but the leg lock and spindle are in aluminium/magnesium and plastic. Two of the legs have rubber "hand warmers" from the spider and three centimeters down. Unlike other stands in the new 190 and 055 series, the additional letters X3 mean that the center column is completely conventional (therefore lacking the possibility of tilting to the side) with a removable stop lug at the bottom. If it is loosened, the center column can be hung upside down in the spindle. You can also detach the entire center column and attach the head to the stopper, which is then placed in the center column hole in the spindle - see picture. The number 3 indicates that the legs have traditional three sections. The stand lacks a label. The head is screwed onto a 3/8'' bolt and locked with a screw from below the base. The leg locks are of a new type that are easier to handle for those with weak hands. Key to adjust the inertia of the leg locks is included in the form of a plastic clip that sits on one of the legs upon delivery. The leg angles can be adjusted in four positions all the way down to basically a split position. Please note that head and possibly binoculars are added to the length measurements below. A head generally builds 10-15 cm in height.
