Ingemar Lind was born in 1939. He was employed by Sweden's Radio in 1959 and then presented, among other things, the radio's pause birds and the popular program Gökotta.
At the end of the 1960s, he then took the step over to TV. There he collaborated with a with Nils Linnman and Anders-Erik Malm. Thanks to their support and encouragement, he ventured into what is today known as documentary nature film. In 1980 he took the big leap out as a freelancer. He has since made about 50 films for TV, mainly for "Mitt i naturen" which he participated in from the beginning in 1980 until 1994. He has now sold his film camera but has no plans to retire. With or without a camera, life out there is the only way i want to live. I am and will remain a nature videographer. FACTS ABOUT THE MOUNTAIN FOX The mountain fox belongs to the canine family and weighs 2.5–5 kilos. In size, it is about the size of a cat. The world population exceeds 100,000 individuals. In Scandinavia there are currently (2019) between 300 and 400 individuals distributed equally between Sweden and Norway. In Finland, there has been no known rejuvenation since the mid-1990s. The mountain fox belongs to the high mountains and, together with the reindeer and the mountain elk, was the species that first colonized our mountains after the last ice age. Can walk long distances, longer than 2000 km is documented. The fjällräven is extremely well adapted to a life on the calf mountain. Small round ears, no sharp edges that the cold can attack. In winter, the paws are also covered in fur underneath. A healthy arctic fox can survive without food for several weeks. The jackal of the tundra, as the arctic fox is sometimes called, is a true survivor.
