Previously, Lynx was only available in a compact version with a 30 mm lens.
Kite has now changed that with the introduction of 42mm binoculars. Here you get better brightness in difficult situations, more of an all-round binocular all year round, but still the extremely large field of view that actually beats several of the high-end models. The fact that the binoculars also clock in exactly at a modest 7 hecto (where there is a pain threshold if you have a sensitive neck) does not make matters worse. Kite has refined the anti-reflective treatment so that the color reproduction should be as close to natural as possible. Here you get light, field of view, good depth of field and good color reproduction in a neat format, what more could you ask for? Focusing runs very smoothly with 1.5 turns from near limit to infinity and the eyecups are easily replaceable in aluminum with two intermediate positions between fully unscrewed ( non glasses) and fully screwed in (glasses). The diopter adjustment is traditionally done on a ring around the right eyepiece and is "normally slow". Kite Lynx comes with a cordura bag, soft neoprene strap and rubber eyepiece cover and lens cap.
